Greater Noida, April 25, 2026: Residents of Mahagun Mywoods Society staged a protest on Friday night, alleging severe deficiencies in essential services including non-functional lifts, inadequate security, and infrastructure gaps.
According to residents, multiple towers in the society are facing persistent lift breakdowns, forcing people to use staircases for daily movement. Concerns were also raised over weak security arrangements, with claims that the number of deployed guards is below the required levels.
Residents further highlighted infrastructure issues, stating that the existing sewage treatment plant (STP) is insufficient for the current population, creating the need for an additional facility. They alleged that the builder management has not taken adequate steps to address these concerns.
A resident, Anil, pointed out that despite regular payment of maintenance charges, services have been deteriorating. Another resident, Ranjeet, claimed that the society is facing a pending electricity bill of approximately ₹96 lakh, adding to operational challenges.
The protest took place within the society premises, with residents warning that demonstrations will continue if their demands are not addressed promptly.
Attempts to reach the builder management for comments were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
