Deputy Mamlatdar Bipinchandra Khemchandbhai Parmar, who was posted at the Collector’s Office in Gandhinagar, along with retired Patwari Dinesh Budhalal Valand, were apprehended while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹4,50,000.
According to officials, the bribe was demanded in exchange for facilitating work related to land allotment. Acting on a complaint, anti-corruption authorities conducted a trap operation and caught both accused during the transaction.
The accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the case and any additional involvement.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to zero tolerance against corruption and have encouraged citizens to report such incidents to the concerned anti-corruption agencies.
