IIM Mumbai Joins Forces with World Intellectual Foundation to Accelerate Nation-Building and Policy Innovation

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Intellectual Foundation (WIF), a premier global think tank. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the institute's journey toward advancing socially relevant research, fostering knowledge exchange, and driving impactful policy initiatives under the visionary leadership of Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai.

The MoU was formally signed recently at the IIM Mumbai campus by Prof. V. B. Khanapuri, Dean (SRIC), IIM Mumbai, and Dr. Rubina Mittal, Research Director, WIF.

This partnership signifies a convergence of IIM Mumbai's academic rigour with WIF's mission of "Intellect to Impact." The collaboration focuses on capacity building, innovation, and developing actionable policy frameworks. By leveraging IIM Mumbai's expertise in management and operations alongside WIF's extensive work in developmental sectors—ranging from the 'Developed India Mission' to sustainable policy advocacy—the alliance aims to shape transformative ideas that contribute to a responsible world.

Speaking on the synergy of this collaboration, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, remarked "Institutions today must look beyond the classroom to solve the complex challenges of our time. The signing ceremony was attended by a distinguished delegation comprising Senior Deans, Board of Governors members, Faculty Chairpersons, and administrative heads from both IIM Mumbai and WIF.
