Jaipur, April 9: In a major quality audit drive under the Shri Annapurna Yojana, Jaipur District Collector Sandesh Nayak, along with 83 senior officials, carried out surprise inspections of Annapurna kitchens across the district on Thursday to ensure effective implementation of the public welfare food scheme.
Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, district administration teams inspected multiple kitchens operating in different parts of Jaipur, focusing on food quality, hygiene, drinking water, service standards, and public convenience.
The District Collector personally inspected Annapurna Kitchen No. 1210 at Rajasthan University campus, where arrangements were reviewed on 27 key parameters, including meal quality, cleanliness, availability of safe drinking water, sanitation, and overall service delivery.
Senior officials, including Additional District Collectors, municipal deputy commissioners, revenue officers, district supply officers, and engineering officials, simultaneously inspected kitchens at key public locations such as:
- Collectorate premises
- SMS Hospital
- Jaipuria Hospital
- JK Lone Hospital
- Women’s Hospital, Sanganeri Gate
- RUHS Hospital
- Mansarovar and Malviya Nagar zones
- VKI industrial area
- Sanganer and Muhana Mandi
- Chomu Pulia and Khasa Kothi
- Tonk Road and India Gate stretch
The large-scale inspection exercise covered 27 operational checkpoints, designed to assess food safety, service efficiency, cleanliness, seating arrangements, and beneficiary convenience.
Officials said the inspections are part of the state government’s effort to ensure that the subsidised meal scheme maintains consistent quality and dignity for beneficiaries, especially daily wage workers, students, hospital attendants, and low-income residents.
The district administration is expected to submit a consolidated review report and initiate corrective measures wherever deficiencies are found.
