Prof. Usmani, a distinguished physicist, educator, and former professor at Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia, passed away on June 15, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Tasneem, his daughters Sahar and Aisha, and his grandchildren Athena, Isaac, Elan, and Mirabel.
