The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has declared the results of JEE Advanced 2026, paving the way for admission to undergraduate programmes across 23 IITs in the country. A total of 56,880 candidates have qualified the prestigious engineering entrance examination, including 10,107 female candidates.
This year, 1,87,389 students registered for the examination, while 1,79,694 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 conducted on May 17. The final answer key and All India Rankings (AIR) were released along with the results.
The IIT Delhi zone emerged as the standout performer, securing the top three All India Ranks. The result reflects intense competition among engineering aspirants seeking admission to IITs through one of the country's toughest entrance examinations.
Qualified candidates will now participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admissions to IITs and other participating institutes. The counselling schedule and seat allocation process are expected to commence shortly.
Candidates can access their scorecards through the official JEE Advanced website using their roll number, date of birth and registered mobile number. The scorecard includes subject-wise marks, total marks and qualifying status for further admission rounds.
