Jaipur, July 2, 2026: The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on July 2, 2026, recovered ₹2.63 lakh in suspected cash from Agriculture Department officials during a special operation on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway. The cash was seized after ACB's Special Investigation Unit intercepted a Tata Safari carrying officials returning from inspections in the Bhiwadi-Kotputli industrial area.
According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, the bureau had received credible information alleging that an Agriculture Department team from Jaipur was collecting illegal money from fertilizer and pesticide manufacturing units by threatening regulatory action during inspections. Based on the intelligence, an ACB team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Mahavir Singh, under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General Dr. Rameshwar Singh, conducted surveillance near Shahpura Pulia and stopped the vehicle for inspection.
During the search, officials recovered ₹1,48,500 from Agriculture Officer Mahesh Kumar Meena and ₹1,15,000 from Agriculture Officer Chanda Ram Gurjar, taking the total seized amount to ₹2,63,500. Agriculture Officer Bhagwan Sahay Yadav and department driver Ramesh Chandra Meena, who were also travelling in the vehicle, were searched as part of the operation.
