Acting on the directions of Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, the Enforcement Wing of the District Food and Civil Supplies Office (Jaipur-I) carried out a major raid against illegal gas refilling operations under Operation Enforcement. The action took place on Tuesday in densely populated residential areas of Jaipur.
District Supply Officer (Jaipur-I) Priyavrat Singh Charan formed a special vigilance team that conducted coordinated raids at Sukhdevpura Nataniwala, 12 Mile, Shriram Ki Nangal, and Sanganer. During the operation, around 740 commercial LPG cylinders were found illegally stored in residential zones — many kept openly in vehicles and on the ground floor of houses.
The team also recovered equipment used for illegal refilling, including two electronic weighing scales, five gas burners, five large cooking vessels, gas transfer pipes, regulators, and a large quantity of seals and caps, all hidden under cattle fodder. A defunct vehicle and an unregistered pickup truck used for the operation were also seized.
Three individuals were arrested from the spot. During preliminary interrogation, they claimed the cylinders belonged to Anika Gas Agency (Muhana) and Brilliant Gas Agency (Bagru). An unregistered receipt book was also confiscated. Two investigation teams have been constituted to probe the involvement of these agencies, with instructions to submit reports within 48 hours.
Action has been initiated against the accused under the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order, 2000, and Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. A mobile phone belonging to one of the accused has been seized for further investigation.
