Under the Special Campaign 5.0, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, organized a cleanliness drive at the Animal Quarantine and Certification Service (AQCS), New Delhi, on October 29, 2025.
The event was graced by Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj, along with Shri Naresh Pal Gangwar, Secretary, DAHD, and other senior officials.
Prof. Baghel inspected AQCS facilities and appreciated the high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and infrastructure. He highlighted the AQCS’s vital role as India’s gateway for the import of healthy livestock, ensuring scientific quarantine and health screening of all consignments.
Active Participation and Key Achievements under Special Campaign 5.0
Officials and staff of the department actively participated by cleaning office premises, disposing of obsolete materials, and reorganizing workspaces. The department has made commendable progress in file review, pending case resolution, and cleanliness activities.
Through scrap disposal, the campaign has also generated ₹5,54,753 in revenue.

“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Initiative
As part of the #EkPedMaaKeNaam initiative, a tree plantation drive was also conducted, symbolizing gratitude toward nature and motherhood.
In his address, Prof. Baghel emphasized the growing threat of global warming and the importance of collective environmental responsibility.
He urged everyone to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and sustainable India through small yet impactful actions like tree planting and waste reduction.
