Chandni’s Journey - From Isolation to Hope
Among the many transformed lives is 18-year-old Chandni from Madhubani, Bihar, who has been living with a severe disability since the age of three, leaving both her legs bent and misaligned at the knees. The condition caused her growing physical limitations, emotional distress, and prolonged isolation. Born into a financially constrained family, Chandni’s parents, Raman and Ritu Devi, consistently struggled to access advanced medical care. Their search led them, to the free treatment services offered by Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur.
In May 2024, Chandni was admitted to the institution, where she underwent a detailed evaluation followed by multiple free surgeries, including Ilizarov-based corrective procedures. After nearly four surgeries and sustained medical care, her condition improved significantly. By her follow-up in December 2025, she was able to stand better and move forward with renewed strength and confidence toward a more independent future.
