Jaipur | July 20, 2026: Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma on Monday inspected the Sanganer Police Station in Jaipur, which he has adopted as part of the state's model police station initiative. During the visit, he reviewed compliance with previously issued directives and instructed officers to launch a special campaign to dispose of long-pending cases while strengthening crime control, quality investigation, and public service delivery.
The DGP inspected the police station's infrastructure, record management, crime investigation process, disposal of pending cases, public grievance redressal system, and implementation of priorities set by the Police Headquarters. He directed officials to accelerate efforts to develop Sanganer Police Station into an ideal model police station.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal, Deputy Inspector General Kunwar Rashtradeep, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ranjita Sharma, Additional DCP Paras Jain, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Harishankar Sharma were present during the inspection.
Addressing investigating officers and police personnel, Sharma said that the police station represents the public face of the police force and stressed the need for transparency, professionalism, sensitivity, and timely service. He instructed officers to ensure high-quality investigations in every case to strengthen the judicial process and deliver timely justice to victims.
The DGP directed officials to regularly monitor cases identified under the Case Officer Scheme, ensure effective prosecution in courts, complete investigations into crimes against women within the prescribed timeframe, and clear cases pending for more than one year through a dedicated special drive.
He also instructed officers to identify accident-prone road hotspots and take preventive measures, focus on crimes against vulnerable sections, complete police verification within stipulated timelines, and ensure swift action in law-and-order matters.
