Jaipur, Feb 18, 2026: The Rajasthan government has announced an increase in the monthly social security pension from ₹1,250 to ₹1,300 under the Rajasthan Minimum Income Guarantee Act, 2023, following directions from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The enhanced pension will be considered effective from January 1, 2026, and will be payable from February 2026.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot said the decision will benefit nearly 9.1 million pensioners across the state, including senior citizens, widows, single women, persons with disabilities, and small and marginal farmers. He added that the hike will impose an additional annual financial burden of շուրջ ₹550 crore on the state exchequer, but reflects the government’s commitment to public welfare and the spirit of Antyodaya.
The government stated that the increase aims to strengthen social security and provide greater financial support to vulnerable and economically weaker sections, ensuring a more dignified life for beneficiaries across Jaipur and the state.
