The Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) of the voter list in Rajasthan is moving at a rapid pace. Within just 10 days of the campaign’s launch, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have reached over 5 crore voters across the state, distributing voter verification forms to more than 92% of the electorate. BLOs are visiting homes to distribute and collect filled forms as part of the verification process.
Jhalawar Tops the List; Bharatpur Lags Behind
Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan informed that Jhalawar (99%), Bundi (98.8%), Rajsamand (98.7%), Dungarpur (97.5%), and Barmer (97.1%) are the top five performing districts.
On the other hand, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Tonk, Dausa, Jodhpur, and Sirohi are among the districts where form distribution remains below 90%.
At the assembly constituency level, Jhalrapatan, Begun, and Keshoraipatan lead with 99.9% coverage, while Bharatpur (50%) and Nadbai (58%) are the slowest performers.
Digitization Drive Gains Momentum
Mahajan said that digitization of filled forms on the ECI-Net platform is progressing rapidly, with 33 lakh forms already uploaded.
Barmer, Bharatpur, and Chittorgarh lead in digital uploads, while Baran, Bikaner, and Pali have shown relatively slower progress.
He directed all District Election Officers to accelerate digitization and provide necessary technical support to BLOs.
The Election Commission of India is continuously monitoring the campaign, and EROs of lagging districts have been given strict instructions. Mahajan also expressed satisfaction over the recent improvement in Jodhpur district’s performance.
Online Form Submission Option Available
The CEO urged voters to make greater use of the online form submission facility available at voters.eci.gov.in.
Online submissions are sent directly to the respective BLOs, eliminating the need for physical form filling. So far, 82,000 forms have been submitted online, with Hanumangarh and Ganganagar leading and Banswara and Dungarpur at the bottom.
Ground-Level Verification in Full Swing
Mahajan stated that district election officers and registration officers are conducting continuous monitoring as per Election Commission guidelines. BLOs are actively verifying voter details — including name, address, and age — through door-to-door visits in both urban and rural areas.
The special revision campaign, running from November 4 to December 4, aims to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the electoral rolls.
Mahajan emphasized that the SIR-2026 program is a crucial step toward strengthening Rajasthan’s democratic framework by including all eligible voters and removing ineligible entries from the voter list.
