Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has directed officials to ensure transparency and quality in building, road construction, and repair works across the state. To achieve this, a month-long ‘Intensive Inspection Campaign’ will be conducted throughout the state starting Saturday.
Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant has issued orders to form inspection committees to monitor works related to the Public Works Department (PWD), Urban Development and Housing Department, Local Self-Government Department, and the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
During a video conference held from the Secretariat on Thursday, the Chief Secretary instructed all District Collectors to implement the campaign effectively in line with the State Government’s objectives.
Three Committees to Conduct Comprehensive Inspections
For the success of this campaign, District Collectors have been directed to constitute three inspection committees in each district. These committees will carry out intensive inspections of works under the PWD, Urban Development and Housing, Local Self-Government, and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan departments.
Each committee will prepare a detailed inspection report and submit it to the respective District Collector, who will review and forward it along with recommendations to the Administrative Secretary of the concerned department.
