A strong and sustainable startup is built on the foundation of lessons learned from failures while safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders. The success of any startup is truly meaningful only when it prioritizes the interests of its customers, employees, and stakeholders. Decisions rooted in strong values form the basis of long-term success. The path to success is never linear, but when trust, values, and innovation go hand in hand, every failure becomes a stepping stone to the next success.
These views were expressed by Mr. Amit Jain, Co-founder of CarDekho.com, Jaipur’s first unicorn, while addressing a panel discussion titled ‘The Alchemy of Scale: Three Industries, One Growth Mindset’ at the Rajasthan Digifest–TiE Global Summit 2026.
The summit, held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura, witnessed leading entrepreneurs from across the country sharing insights from their success journeys in the main hall on Tuesday. Along with Mr. Amit Jain and Mr. Anurag Jain, Co-founders of CarDekho.com, the session also featured Mr. Mohit Yadav and Mr. Rahul Yadav, Co-founders of Minimalist, who openly shared the highs and lows of their entrepreneurial journeys.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anurag Jain said that every big dream appears crazy before it becomes reality. In the startup ecosystem, a certain degree of “madness” is essential. Unwavering belief in one’s ideas, respect for one’s decisions, and the courage to take responsibility for their outcomes ultimately lead entrepreneurs to success.
He emphasized that startup success does not happen overnight. It is a continuous process of deeply understanding customer needs, learning from mistakes, and openly accepting failures. Not every startup succeeds, and the reality is that most successful ventures are built on the foundations of repeated failures.
Sharing his experiences, Mr. Mohit Yadav, Co-founder of Minimalist, said that several of their ventures had failed, but those very experiences made them stronger. A company is not built by its product alone; it earns its identity through its values. A strong value-driven work culture, freedom for teams to work independently, encouragement of innovation, and even the freedom to fail—these define the true strength of an organization.
Mr. Rahul Yadav, Co-founder of Minimalist, noted that while everyone in a startup must move in the same direction, it is equally important to respect diversity of thought. Just as every star shines differently, every individual’s thinking and contribution carries unique value.
He added that earning consumer trust is both the biggest challenge and the greatest achievement for any startup. Trust within the team and transparency with stakeholders form the solid foundation for sustainable growth. While the startup world often recognizes success, the truth is that entrepreneurs are shaped by their failures. The ability to turn adversity into opportunity, he said, is the true hallmark of entrepreneurship.
