The Rajasthan Department of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship is operating the Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojana to provide financial support to unemployed youth. Under the scheme, male applicants receive ₹4,000 per month, while female applicants receive ₹4,500 per month as unemployment allowance. As a mandatory condition, every beneficiary must complete a 4-hour daily internship in designated government offices.
To assess the progress of the scheme and verify actual attendance, a surprise inspection was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Director Smt. Navrekha. The inspection team visited government offices in areas such as Rampura Dabri, Udaipuriya, and Itawa Bhopji in Chomu Tehsil, including Patwar offices, Panchayat Samiti offices, Ayurveda dispensaries and veterinary hospitals, where beneficiaries are currently interning.
During the inspection, it was found that several interns were fulfilling their responsibilities with sincerity and commitment. However, many interns were absent from their designated workplaces. Action has been initiated at the office level to suspend the allowance of those found absent.
Deputy Director Smt. Navrekha informed that during verification of attendance certificates, ₹2,58,520 has been recovered from beneficiaries who had falsely marked attendance to claim the allowance. The recovered amount has been deposited in the state treasury.
At present, interns under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojana are actively supporting the state government’s Special Intensive Audit Campaign in compliance with the directions of the District Collector. Their contribution is being recognised as a positive example of responsible citizenship and youth participation.
