U.S. markets witnessed sharp volatility in small-cap and leveraged stocks, while semiconductor giant NVDA emerged as the most actively traded stock by dollar volume.
Among the top advancing stocks, STFS surged 96.52%, followed by PMAX which gained 95.28%. EVC climbed 93.59%, while TBLAW advanced 92.30%.
On the losing side, EZGO plunged 91.57%, marking the sharpest decline of the session. SRTAW dropped 86.36%, while GDC fell nearly 79.30%.
Trading activity remained elevated across leveraged and technology-linked instruments. SOXS led trading by share volume with over 315 million shares changing hands, followed by EZGO and TZA.
In terms of dollar volume, NVDA topped the list, trading at $207.66 and gaining 5.68%. AMD rallied 18.63%, while MU added 4.15%.
Broader market participation also remained strong, with SPY posting gains of nearly 1.4% during the session.
