The 27th meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Textiles was held today, 22 December 2025, under the chairmanship of Union Minister for Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh. The meeting was attended by Secretary (Textiles) Ms. Neelam Shami Rao, eminent Hindi scholars who are members of the Committee, and representatives from subordinate offices of the Ministry.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Minister appreciated the role of the Hindi Advisory Committee in promoting and strengthening the use of Hindi in official work. He emphasized that Hindi is an integral part of India’s culture and heritage, and continuous efforts must be made to further its development and wider usage in government functioning.
During the meeting, Shri Giriraj Singh also released the Ministry’s Hindi magazine, “Sutradhar”.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the progress of Hindi implementation within the Ministry, the status of official work being carried out in Hindi, and the key achievements of the Ministry. On this occasion, both the Textile Minister and the Textile Secretary shared their views and suggestions for further strengthening the use of Hindi in official communications.
