Jaipur, 29 June 2026: Rajasthan celebrated the 20th State Statistics Day on the birth anniversary of Prof. P.C. Mahalanobis, with Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa emphasizing that effective use of administrative data and evidence-based decision-making are critical to achieving the vision of Viksit Rajasthan 2047 and Viksit Bharat 2047.
Addressing the event, Dr. Bairwa said data has become a vital asset for transparent governance, policy formulation, and efficient public service delivery. He highlighted the state's CM-PRAMAN initiative, announced in the 2026–27 Budget, which aims to integrate departmental data, strengthen advanced analytics, and enable evidence-based policymaking.
The programme, organised by the Department of Economics and Statistics, focused on this year's theme, "Unlocking the Potential of Administrative Data," showcasing the role of data analytics, digital governance, and AI in improving governance outcomes.
Officials also underlined Rajasthan's efforts to enhance the quality, reliability, and timely collection of statistical data for sectors including health, education, agriculture, industry, and sustainable development, while reaffirming the state's commitment to data-driven governance and long-term development planning.
