Bhopal, April 30. In a significant push towards increasing women’s participation in the police force, the Madhya Pradesh government has completed the recruitment process for 6,800 constables in the district police cadre, including 2,070 women candidates.
The recruitment, conducted through the Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board for the 2025 cycle, aligns with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s directive to enhance female representation in the police department. Out of the total 6,800 posts, 35% (2,380 posts) were reserved for women. However, following court directives, 13% of the posts were withheld, and results were declared for 87% of the vacancies, leading to the selection of 2,070 women constables.
According to the Police Headquarters, the final results were released on April 9, 2026, and unit allocations for selected candidates have now been published on the board’s official website. Appointment letters will be issued by respective district Superintendents of Police, with instructions to complete the joining process within a one-month timeline.
Selected candidates can download their posting details and reporting instructions online. The move is expected to strengthen policing capacity while promoting gender inclusivity across Madhya Pradesh’s law enforcement system.
