Bhopal, March 18, 2026: In a significant push toward renewable energy and sustainable development, SAEL Industries Limited has proposed an investment of ₹3,200 crore in Madhya Pradesh for setting up biomass-based energy projects.
The proposal was presented during a meeting with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the state’s official residence in Bhopal.
Biomass Energy from Agricultural Waste
SAEL’s Managing Director, Sukhbir Singh Awla, outlined plans to generate power using biomass agricultural waste, a model that converts crop residue into clean energy.
This approach is expected to:
Reduce stubble burning and environmental pollution
Create additional income streams for farmers
Strengthen rural energy infrastructure
Support India’s clean energy transition goals
State Government Assures Full Support
Welcoming the proposal, CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is open to investments in the renewable energy sector and assured full administrative support to investors.
He stated that the state government is committed to creating a business-friendly ecosystem to accelerate industrial growth and green energy adoption.
