In Rajasthan, the “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan” will be organized from September 17 to October 2. The campaign aims to further strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission, raise public awareness about cleanliness, and ensure public places remain clean and free from plastic.
Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar stated that the main objective of the campaign is to celebrate cleanliness as a festival by promoting the principles of sanitation through community participation. He said that during the campaign period, various activities will be organized across the state.
As part of the initiative, the following activities will be carried out:
Special cleanliness drives at public places such as gram panchayats, schools, hospitals, and government offices.
Commitment to a plastic-free Rajasthan, including public awareness rallies, oath-taking ceremonies, and workshops to eliminate single-use plastic.
Community participation programs, involving students, volunteer organizations, women’s groups, and public representatives.
Cultural and awareness programs to spread the message of cleanliness.
