
Jamia Hamdard School of Media Education and Mass Communication invites application for their first ever Bachelors Programme in Journalism and Mass Communication for the academic year 2020-21. It will conduct a three year-long full-time undergraduate programme in Journalism with the objective of churning out fully-trained journalists, media and content professionals for leading media organisations.
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 examination or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized board/
Institution with at least 50%. The admission of the candidates is done on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination (Class XII) , followed by a counselling process.
Being an integrated undergraduate programme with focus on Print, TV and Broadcast media, the school boasts a core faculty comprising media and industry experts .This rare privilege of being trained by their future recruiters and a hands-on approach to training gives students the much-needed edge when working real-time in various newsrooms.
The selected students will be trained to become multi-lingual, multi-format journalists and media professionals skilled in the latest tools and techniques including Mobile Journalism (MoJo) and online Journalism.
Programme Overview:
- The three-year programmes will consist of six semesters. Plus, there will be a mandatory internship for completion of the programme.
- Focus on Print Journalism, Broadcast Journalism and Multimedia Journalism.
- The programme designed to be a top-of-the-line course, enables students to learn the art of reporting, writing, editing, designing, scripting, programming etc in its state-of-the-art facilities – which includes a fully-functional news room and a TV studio enabling students to get exposure on all aspects.
